What Was Recalled

Nature’s Own Pet Chews Bully Bites 1 Pound pet treats in 16 oz. resealable plastic pouches with UPC 739598900750 and expiration date of September 2027.

Affected lot numbers: 19379, 19380, 19381, 19382

Why

Samples of the product tested positive for Salmonella during FDA testing conducted on September 11, 2025. The company has ceased production and distribution pending investigation.

Risk

Salmonella can affect animals eating the products. Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. There is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products. No illnesses in dogs have been reported to date.
